Rainbow: Down to Birmingham again. Genting
Arena, Birmingham, UK. 25.06.16
Description
In general amazing, one week of difference
from first shows and the band sounds 1000 times better, faster, stronger more
like a real Rainbow than 2 previous shows, the recording is great except for
the Intro that has some kind of small short cut but for the rest amazing and
they played the great BURN from Deep Purple
(Coverdale-Hughes era) and sounds triumphant.
TAPER’S NOTES: “ONE OFF UK SHOW FOR 2016
WHICH WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT.
WE HAD THREE DRUNKEN DICKHEADS SAT BEHIND
US TALKING OVER SOME OF THE TRACKS IN PLACES.
WHEN TOLD TO SHUT UP THEY DID IT MORE, MY
THOUGHTS ARE WHY BOTHER TO SPEND A SMALL FORTUNE GOING TO SEE A BAND AND THEN
SPEND THE GIG TALKING AND NOT WATCHING WHAT IS GOING ON AND JUST RUIN IT FOR
THE PEOPLE AROUND THEM.
IT WAS TWO HOURS THAT WE MAY NEVER GET TO
SEE AGAIN, THESE PEOPLE HAVE THE REST OF THEIR LIVES TO TALK.
UPON REFLECTION AFTER LISTENING TO THE
RECORDING THE OVERALL SOUND IS VERY GOOD AND I KNOW OF AT LEAST TWO OTHER
SOURCES
AT THE MOMENT.
I AM SURE A 'CLEANER' VERSION WILL TURN UP
BUT THIS IS MY CONTRIBUTION AT THE MINUTE.
MS - 2016-06-27.”
