The Cure: Manchester 1992

Review

One more from Wish era this time with some surprises Shake dog shake as an opening track instead of Open, Dressing up, Big Hand, Catch & Foxy lady included on the song list. Do you need something else?. The recording is an audience of good quality but with a little bit hollow sound and that obligated me to rate as -8 instead of 8. A strange point is doing the unstuck as final track?. According with my investigations yes it's true a strange end for the concert. Robert was a little effortless during all the concert but the last 3 tracks are the most uninspired version in The Cure history, A forest lasts 7 minutes instead of the typical 12 of this era, a night like this is slow and horrible and Doing the unstuck is sad and slow instead of the original version happy and fast, also the 3 of them sound horrible about the recording, maybe the end of the tour was so near that he was exhausted.

Song list

  1. Tape, shake dog shake, in between days, dressing up, the big hand, pictures of you, high, Friday I'm in love, apart, catch, play for today, in your house, just like heaven, let's go to bed, a strange day.
  2. Cut, end, at night, never enough, 100 years, foxy lady, lullaby, boys don’t cry, a night like this, a forest, doing the unstuck.
