Description
This show has been
bootlegged by 3 different companies, with the names Live
in USA with a poor audience recording without
specific date, Ride the lightning tour name created by the guy of Bootlegs Inc. with all the data, and this
version even with the wrong place and date the best one of the 3 of them and
with the biggest set of songs even when the last songs are from different
venue. I have to add that a bootleg from Green Festival in Oakland exists but
is not the one we can call “official” is a private recording.
The full show from my
favorite Metallica's
album, an excellent Soundboard recording with the limitation of those days, I
mean Metallica
didn't have the best equipment and that is obvious in this recording other way
this one would be a 10, but.....
The song list is amazing
and 1 song is mixed from the original song list even with that I rearrange the
song list as appears on the record the last song is from other venue.

Oakland Stadium. August 31 1985, but I get a mail
from Jason

and he made me note that this one is in fact from San Francisco and he gave me
the info, that I have now, so I investigated in the biggest Metallica's
collection that I know and he is right, so excuse me for the bad information of
the past, during the second song you can hear James screaming San Francisco!!!. Anyway months later I got an e-mail from Sven from Site of the cross
and he has the real show from Oakland but of course his version is not the “official
bootleg” so if you want that, go with him he is an excellent trader, but only if
you live in Europe.
