The Cure: London 2006
Review
Firs of all I
think is great with all their defects that the band played in a charity show
like this one, well now the facts, in 2005 tired of 14 years of blindness and deafness,
Mr. Smith went tired of Mr. Mediocrity (Worst
ever guitar player) Bamonte and from his Siamese
twin, Mr. Roger (I cant write a single note for an album
even to save my stupid ass) O’Donell, and
with that the band become a trio, but really fast they brought back Porl (The Cure Guitar God) Thompson, and
things started moving again, over 2005 they played some festivals but the band still
sounded not compacted, now in this one the only show from 2006, the band
delivered an awesome show of almost 40 songs, without keyboards and the fact is
who needs them? They sound rawer, fresh, with hunger for a new status, one of
the best ever shows and the recording is amazing.
