Rainbow: Electrified Boston. Boston, MA, USA. 05.07.81
Well great news this bootleg was released in the years when the maximum time allowed in a CD was 74 minutes but welcome to the new era of 80 minutes so all the songs are in just one CD (Well now there are of 90 minutes) the only part skipped are the radio commercials that I doubt you want to hear them.
Joe Lynn Turner era was some kind of a rebirth for Rainbow, after the commercial success of Graham era but total failure in concert, Ritchie decided to bring a singer from a Deep purple tribute band and in fact even when Joe Lynn was a total disappointing in Deep Purple in Rainbow he did it marvelous and for the style Ritchie was writing, I cant think in a better option than
him, the shows were even better than the albums and everything was perfect, I
really cant understand why? When he reunited Rainbow not called Joe Lynn for his paper as
singer and maybe we could have avoid his current project “Blackmore’s wife”
The sound of the bootleg is great the only low point
are the covers designed for the old set of 2CD and not this marvelous one of
just one CD.
