Queensryche: Halfway
to Madness. Halfway Jam, Royalton, MN, USA. 28.07.12
Description
Well after the
horrible soap opera with Mr. Tate fired from the
band, they decided to do their first show under the name of Queensryche with the newbie Todd La Torre, a previous show was done with him under
different moniker, to be honest sounds incredible, Todd is as
competent as Geoff, you barely
can miss him, and for sure he is more charismatic than the later one who buried
the band the last years, the set list is based on old hits, pure Heavy Metal
style, with songs from first albums until Empire, and a cover
of Iron Maiden, Wrathchild, to be honest totally unnecessary, but well, if you
can complain about something is that the songs sounds exactly as they did 10
and 20 years ago, a good arrangements would be awesome to refresh the material that
sounds a little bit dated now, the recording is good, something strange is that
Empire & Wrathchild are 2 times on
the bootleg, you will read on description why.
