Well this is supposed to be the first concert from the
reformation of the band, as you know the vocalist from their famous era Dead decided to blow his head with a shotgun, and some
time later Euronymus was stabbed by Count Grishnack, one of the bass players of the band, and from that famous incarnation
just Hellhammer (Best drummer on earth) survived since the Count Grishnack is in jail right now, by the way if you don’t know he is the man behind
Burzum
and still creating music from his cell in the jail.
Well
after all that Hellhammer decided to reform the band with Maniac as vocalist, first real singer of the band in the old days, Necrobutcher on bass original bass
player and Blasphemer
on guitar, who is in fact a new member and responsible of all the music in The Grand declaration of war
album. If this show is what it claims this is the first concert of that
reformation, I’m not 100% sure if this is the first or not, anyway the sound is
a good audience recording with some minor jumps here and there, I have read
that some people rate this one as 6.5 because of the sound, but that’s wrong
they sound as the songs from the CD’s, if they don’t like the songs they don’t
like this concert as simple as that, I mean they didn’t changed the sound of
that songs until the last tour in 2000 with the great equipment they used.
