This one was super mega concert, one of the best in my
life and one of the best in Gathering’s
life, because of that you still can read at their site how this date is marked
specially, and even in the past they keep for 1 year a special review of the
concert, this concert was the first time that Gathering was the main act out of Holland but also the first concert without Jelmer, even when he played for the next and his final date
11th July at Ilosaari Festival, in Joensuu, he didn’t do it in this
one.
The concert in Mexico was in front of 1,600 fans so
far the best audience for The Gathering,
a funny aspect is that the concert was during World Cup of France and Anne was wearing a shirt of the Mexican selection because
that day Mexico and Holland tied (2-2), well enough history, let’s talk about
the recording, the audio was taken from a video, and re-mastered several times
by me, I did what I could but I don’t do miracles (At least until now), so you
can find a big jump during Eleonor like 30 seconds
and also during In Motion #2 there is a gap an empty space, anyway I
really love this concert, as The gathering said in their last visit to Mexico, “There isn’t better country for a concert”.
