First a
note from uploader: Fan Club Show in an almost empty arena 100+ in
attendance for an arena that held 12,000 Warm ups before 2nd show of the tour,
which followed in same arena the following night. Poughkeepsie, NY was the
opening night 8/1/1990
REMASTER
NOTES (METALGMAN):
Being an avid fan of Dio and LUTW being
a change of pace in both lineup and style, I enjoyed this particular
experiment.
I chose this particular show as it
allowed for some creativity and plenty of room to manipulate the clarity and
sound.
It was a B-B+ show when I received it
back in 2003-2004. The recording was muddy, but the fact that the venue was
almost empty, the acoustics allowed for focusing on particular segments of the
music to give it more clarity, brilliance, and depth.
Dio's vocals are clean and distinct on
this one.
The bass was fairly distant, not sure
if it was a recording issue or sound board issue, the drums and keys are well
defined.
One of the better live versions of
"Lock Up The Wolves". Dios voice is crisp
and on point.
Well after these couple of notes you
can have a good idea of what we have here, not the best sounding even with the
remaster but a strange show to get.
